On Friday 18th April, 67 golfers from across the country took part in the annual charity golf day sponsored by Think BDW to raise over £3,000 for Cancer Research UK and MacMillan Cancer Support. Teeing off at 10am, 17 teams of golfing enthusiasts hacked their way around Hever Castle golf course in Kent. The teams were made up from suppliers, business associates and friends of Think BDW, all of who donated money to the Cancer charities to enter the competition. With prizes on offer including a car, holiday and set of golf clubs, competition among the golfers was high and after 27 holes, Nick Hulance was the winner achieving 41 stapleford points while playing off a handicap of 10. Meanwhile those who missed out on the prizes entered the raffle competition to win urban golf vouchers, a four ball game at Hever Castle, free portrait session and signed England Rugby shirt, among other items. Kris Babb of Think Media comments: "We are delighted to have raised over £3,000 for such worthwhile charities. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all parties involved and everyone who contributed to the charities, which continue to be very close to our hearts."
